
Bo Shen
Dr. Bo Shen is an Energy and Environmental Research Scientist working in the Energy Technology Area of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab). His research encompasses a wide range of areas, including clean energy transition, power sector decarbonization, energy efficiency policy and governance, techno-economic analysis of clean energy solutions, green financing, and emissions trading. With over 25 years of international experience in the energy area, Prior to joining the Berkeley Lab, Dr. Shen held two separate positions: he was a senior fellow for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and a Senior Public Utilities Analyst for the State of Delaware. Additionally, Dr. Shen served as an international consultant in several technical assistance projects of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Dr. Shen holds a doctorate in energy and environmental policy, an MBA in finance, a master's degree in environmental studies, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
